Then Yanks Out! Yeah, Rafa makes some bad decisions- why not bring Aquilani on etc? But so does everyone. I wonder how United would be if they'd sacked Mr Ferguson at the start of his reign. And Rafa has done a f**k load better than he did. For every Josemi or Keane, there's a Torres or Mascherano. We made some decent purchases in Momo, Bellamy, Crouch etc. I'm loving Johnson at this stage. I adore our 4-2-3-1 formation, but it's never going to look as good when there's no Stevie or Torres consistantly playing there. Rafa has built a solid spine (especially when Xabi was there) he has Yossi in scintillating form, Johnson and young Argentine called Insua who is slowly learning. So even the width is improving immensely. Our defence is all over the place at the moment, but that's just the form (of the past few months!). Over Rafa's time we have generally been solid at the back. He made a great purchase in Reina. Our first XI is as good as any in the world, bar none. Our squad is thin, yip, so there's room for improvement. But we don't have enough money to afford have 20mil quid players sitting on the bench. We have room for Voronin! Rafael Benitez; the right man for Liverpool.

In my opinion, anyway.
