Rubbish journalism.  Good scoop, but the body of the article contradicts the implication in the lead.  (They mention Gillett selling the Canadiens for a similar sum without putting any money into Liverpool.)  ESPN is just raising false expectations.  Or trying to, at least.

Oh, El-Kun, sorry for not directly answering your question about club loyalties.  Hope my new avatar cleared things up.
