They have unrealistic expectations. With the squad he had Hughes was doing well. Rafa's had more defeats than songs from the overrated Kop. What's it up to now in all competitions, 10? I think you've actually lost more than you've won now. Not like he hasn't had time either.

Fair play to you for sticking by him, but don't then go out and completely dismiss another manager who has had little time to build his squad and been faced with the daunting task of the most unrealistic ambitions in football from owners who would know more about which American monument is being attacked next rather than who to play in the hole in a 4-4-2 diamond.

Yeah. But Rafa pushed us so close to the title last season, and if you don't think our squad has improved from when he first came in, then I don't know what has happened to the world! Oh, and I think it is 11...

Yeah, fair point. Hughes didn't get enough time to do, well, anything. Did he know of the take-over when he first joined City? He probably wouldn't have wanted all those (as you say, unrealistic) expectations that come with all that money. But if Rafa had even a part of that budget, we'd have Alves, Simao, Kun etc etc. Okay, they may not have become the players they are today, but we'd be an altogether different team. But yeah, fair point regarding Hughes. I just personally don't think he is in the same managerial class as Rafa (before this season!).

Fair point about the Kop, too. Its been awful lately!
