I use to respect Torres. But after watching that game he's just a c**t. Acts like a whining pussy.
Don't judge the man on one game, for a start.
And here comes a defence for the best striker in England. If you had to chase long balls all day long, you'd get pretty f**ked off. If you cared so much for this club, and despised United so much, then you'd get f**ked off that we weren't winning. If you loved like he did, you'd get f**ked off when they get a dodgy penalty to get them back into the game only five minutes after the elation of taking the lead. And if you think he's a whiny pussy, go have a f**king look at the game against Madrid, and you'll see a man totally focussed. Or at Old Trafford last year. I seem to remember Rooney throwing a ball at a ref last year... Don't you come on here and f**king critisise my Nando.
I saw PressPass last night (I know, what an idiot. Homework is a better option than that...) And Shaka was saying "Torres isn't a happy camper" etc and "Look at his attitude". I felt like screaming at him "HE'S SCORED 5 GOALS IN THE LAST 3 GAMES. IN THE SPACE OF A f**kING WEEK." And then he brought up the interview where Torres reportedly told Benitez to bring in at least 4 world class players or he'll leave. Now, I don't know Torres much better than Shaka, but he suffered at Atletico. For years. He could have moved anywhere in the world at any time. He could have gone to Madrid, Barca, Inter, United, Arsenal, Chelsea etc. But he didn't. Because he loved the club, and the people at Atletico. He was 19 when he was captain. He has dealt with pressure and failings before. All he wanted was to play in Europe with the club he loved.
And I can honestly say, I don't think Torres will leave this summer. Because he isn't like that. He loves it here; the fans, the city, the club. He is our talisman. He said not playing in the Champion's League isn't important, he just wants to see some intent. Sounds like he's having a go at the owners to me, not trying to get out.
I love Torres. Owen was the first striker I can honestly remember well (That brace against the Gooners in the FA Cup Final in 2001). But I never felt for him like I do for Torres. Torres gets it. He understands. And I feel like I'd trust him with my life. When I see him, I feel giddy. I feel excited (no, not in some queer sexual way!). He is my total hero. Even with Stevie, I don't feel it like I do with Torres. Fernando is awesome. He suffered for the club he loves. He stayed with them when everything was falling apart. He was, and is, a fan. He knows what football means to people, cos he understands it. In an increasingly cynical world of multi-millionaire modern footballers, here is someone who genuinely understands what the game is about. I am so proud to have him here.
