Yeah, a good signing IMO. Would have been a good plan 'B' vs the Bus Driver from London. I'd also like a strike option with a bit of height, but good purchases so far. Emre Can is all but done to Liverpool as well, fee and terms agreed and initial agreement in place, just waiting on final paperwork. The word is that it will be held back and announced July 1st (not sure why)

Also heard that Ian Ayre is in Spain for meeting at the moment. Either something to do with Suso going on loan to Sevilla again or the Moreno deal.

All bit transfer action seems to be around Chelsea (Alex, Costa) and Liverpool (Lambert, Can, Moreno) at the moment. Good early business.

What else is going on out there?

p.s. David Villa deal to play for both New York City FC & Melbourne City FC is an interesting one. More and more, some of these older, close to retirement players are getting an extra lifeline, very similar to the mercenary, but very entertaining way cricketers seem to finish their career with playing T20 in India, NZ, Aus, West Indies, UK etc...

Re Can: Leverkusen had to compensate Bayern for waiving their option. That's why the deal was held up

Come on, you would totally be happy with signing Villa. 32 and coming off a season of winning La Liga and being in the UCL final and in the Spanish WC squad. Villa or Rickie Lambert?
