Android and iOS apps now free!

That's right, the apps we have developed for iOS and Android are now completely free to download!

This is all part of the plan to make our chants more accessible to everyone attending Phoenix matches (and those who support from afar), and there will be an update released before the season kicks off next weekend to add the chants to the app as well as some cool new features.

We realise that some of you have already paid for the app, and we hope that you are okay with what we are doing. Before the update gets released, you may as well head to http://www.yellowfever.co.nz/apps and download the app to your Android or iOS device and start accessing the forums on the go!

$5 was hardly a major price to pay in helping develop something more awesome for the wider fan base. I'd like to think my contribution helped further the cause.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

I have an iphone 4s as well but it doesn't show the league table or podcasts etc like on my nexus 5.... only forum and fever card. Will you update it ?

This update will add chants and only chants - Nik has been on holiday for the last couple of months and I have done literally no iOS programming at all before I added Chants to the app, which took me waaaaaaay too long to do. All the extra stuff will definitely be added, just no idea what timeframe that may be at the moment.

Just downloaded the Android App, it looks great. Really impressive, a lot of work must of gone into it.

Out of curiosity (I'm a developer for a company that makes mobile apps) what technologies were used for both the Android and iOS apps?

Could not get mine to produce any croutons tonight no matter what I tried.

Which sucked because I made soup specially.

I know Apple iPhones are inferior in everyway to the mighty android overloads. But is there away of getting the 'news' section on the iOS version? Or the chant section. Or any section other than forums and fever card? Because that is all I have...

iOS app is mainly the standard stuff (UIKit etc), also AFNetworking and FMDB for persistence (because Core Data is overkill for just caching posts etc)

Can't think of anything else interesting :) Would have to check the Podfile tbh.
