The only thing I see it stopping is people saying "this" or "+1" Or maybe even some mindless slagging off of others that some of us are prone to, as you'd just click thumbs down and move on instead. If people have something meaningful to say, they'll still say it.
And yeah with the trello board, its a nice idea in theory, but you can already tell that its not being read by all.
