Simon Hill saying the Socceroos, would find stiffer competition more useful this close to the Asian Cup, than the Omanis who are poor.

Suggest an AWs side drawn from the European & MLS/USL pros plus Brockie etc - would be doing better. Probably get a bigger crowd if played in Dubai in front of a few thousand expats too. Not feasible for a lot of reasons I know, but well overdue for a trans tasman clash.

I know the Aussie coach is all for a NZ v Aus match, Its just a matter of when not where.

A little secret I actually wrote an email to Mr Arnold, 'begging' for him to give the AWs a game a few months ago.

Had a guess at his email address, from looking at other staffers email addresses on FFA site. Email never rebounded so hoping he got it!

I'm sure Arnie enjoyed getting an email from some NZ football fan nutter. He has nothing better to do that read random emails.

I did make a reference to his 1980's perm, and Grant Turner's fantastic header at SCG in 1981! Hopefully he or his PA appreciated the attempted humour!

If there's an AWs v Socceroos game in 2019 - I'm taking the credit.
