Simon Hill saying the Socceroos, would find stiffer competition more useful this close to the Asian Cup, than the Omanis who are poor.

Suggest an AWs side drawn from the European & MLS/USL pros plus Brockie etc - would be doing better. Probably get a bigger crowd if played in Dubai in front of a few thousand expats too. Not feasible for a lot of reasons I know, but well overdue for a trans tasman clash.

To take my fairytale idea further. He's a NZ side of players not playing club football this week (or out injured), who could be running around in Dubai v Australia right now -

Brockie, Rojas, Boyd, Howieson, Tuiloma, Wynne, McGarry, M Boxall, Themi, Smith, Marinovic.

Bench - Bevan, Collier, Dyer, Payne, Musa, Kyle Adams, Cory Brown, N Boxall, Woud,

Not the worst ever AWs side. Only two "shamateur" players
