Gill made an interesting comment about Chico at today’s members’ event.
It was a bit oblique so hopefully I’m not misinterpreting or misrepresenting, but it sounds like Chico’s injury has given the club pause for thought - yes he’s loving it here and they can absolutely see his potential, but they don’t want to end up in another Rojas situation where a good player is sidelined most of the season.
Apparently they expect to have a better idea about his recovery in a couple of weeks.
Edit: I originally said "don't want to risk another Rojas situation", but that's overcooking it - obviously everything in football is uncertain, so they're looking to manage the risk not pretend it can be eliminated.
