Melo was the best player for the Netherlands on the field.

Dunga should be fired now. He made some terrible selections

We were crap the 1st half but Brazil fell apart in that 2nd and it could've easily be 3 or 4-1 in the end

Hup Holland! Great stuff.

Dunga is a whinging baby and that rubbed off on his team - cost them the game.

When was the last time Brazil have lost with dignity.  After that second goal to the Dutch they were really being sore losers.  Example, when Robben(?) was clearly tripped by the corner flag Fabiano ran over and had a cry, gesticulating every which way.  Grow up.  The way they've been whinging to the refs all tournament over small fouls, wanting special treatment almost (Dunga seems as bad as the rest) is embarrassing to watch.

Surprised the Dutch didn't win 3-1 or 4-1.  How much arsing about did they do at the end when it was about 3 on 2 and they were in the goal area.

With regards to people talking about Kuyt's handball and how it should have been a yellow - I'd call that justice after Fabiano handballed it how many times against the Ivory Coast?  So often he may as well have just picked it up and ran with it.

I also don't see how an own goal was awarded for the Netherlands first goal.  Slightest of touches.

This. It was good to see the ref not bow to the Brazilians. I thought the ref had a good game.

The Dutch certainly should have scored more. Hopefully they don't botch those sorts of chances when the game is on the line.

FUUUUCK YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!

Great win! Seams we're lifting a gear, hoping we're going to peak at the right time - next monday! Still some average individual performances but Sneijder, Kuyt, Van Bommel, Stekelenburg lifted us while Brazil helped us out a little. Glad RVP didn't throw his toys again when dragged after another average game. Stekelenburg save of the tournament? Sneijder just...fantastic. Kuyt yet another legendary performance.

If any Dutchies (or anyone else interested) are looking for a good place to watch the semi-final, St johns by the waterfront is getting a good core of Dutch supporters each game. Good atmosphere tonight.

Bring on Ghana/Uruguay!! Van der Wiel suspended I believe??

Fuck this stupid game

Is Fabiano one of the most reprehensible figures at this World Cup, anyone think?

While I'm happy about this I do hope that Uruguay beat Ghana and then hand it to the Dutch.

To be fair it seems like most teams have been doing this.

Quietly chuffed about the result - serves Dunga right for overlooking quality players and bringing a bunch of donkeys to the tournament. And one of those cost him the game last night.

And yeah, their attitude here (from Kaka, Dunga, etc in the Ivory Coast game to the histrionics last night) certainly didn't endear them to neutrals.el grapadura2010-07-03 19:08:57

I've taken a Uruguay win with Dutch win in extra time double
as much for the odds as any real confidence

Holland must score first to win
that annoying commentator was comparing these guys to '74 side
inappropriate IMO
paradoxically this team can still win the Cup

slightly wrong here
Uruguay will be tough but not impossible

To say that Dunga brought a bunch of donkeys is a stupid remark. With all their 'donkeys in the AW's' we could have made the semis.

First half they were brilliant. Fell apart in disgraceful fashion after the break.

Dunga looked more stressed than any WC coach I can think of since that bizarre Croatian bloke in his ill-fitting suit at WC 2006. Some astounding tantrums. Hoping for more of the same from Maradona tonight.

So they could help NZ to the semis but not Brazil? funny logic that

Jesus. You really need to lighten up.

And yes, some of the players they took to the World Cup are donkeys in comparison to some of the players they didn't take to the World Cup. And now they've paid the price for it.

On the cards (not for the clog stomping bit. Maybe jackboots)
