Nah it wasnt really a clear run on goal, or overly blatant. They were running more towards the corner of goal area i thought

Should have been 3-2 to USA. But England may find themselves 3rd and Slovenia and USA through. The goal difference and other statistics may end up deciding who is through. It is so open, that it is crazy.

Nah the line-o's flag stayed down. They showed a reverse angle of the ref with the whistle in his mouth ready to blow as soon as the ball was kicked. There was some kind of altercation in among all those bodies waiting for the ball, but I dont think the ref even offered an explanation. The USA coach said he still didnt know even after full time.

I had to pause it to find the reason. It happened very early, so most replays missed the infringement. Pause it just as the kick is taken, look to the top left about a yard away from the ref. The American has a handful of a Slovenian shirt.

That really dumb refereeing then, because there maybe other things involved and being too quick with the whistle at a crucial moment. There is an unwritten guideline of not blowing the whistle until you get the context of the situation, the big picture. Hence you see refs blowing a couple of seconds later to check and double-check to make sure he has the right picture and decision. Or else there are no advantage or flow to the game.

The states were robbed clear and simple, still I think they will go through.

Not really - not if the whistle was blown for the shirt pulling and I can't see any other reason, having watched it several times now. The shirt pull was the only infringement I could see that happened before the ref blew up.
