I think he needs a season as a starter. That won't happen in the Championship.
I have a feeling the club will bring in a few strikers over summer with Whittaker moving on. I can see a season loan somewhere in League One (just like Woodsy had at Brighton which really kick starting his career).
He will benefit from a coach that plays a front two. Admittedly I don't see any of his games but sounds like a lot of the time he is being played as a lone striker. He was always part of a front two here.
Us greens fans are properly pissed off with this. He's done nothing since retiring. Would much rather have a Cheify or Talay type in charge who can actually man manage and have a track record of doing well.
