Everything will be signed & sealed awaiting the FA stamp of approval. This will be Leicester City getting a PR head start before it gets lost in the transfer news.

Good to see both Leicester and Ipswich win.

Payne and WeeMac for midfield for sure, looks like that's the way it's being groomed

With Reid, Wood, Rojas and Barbarouses we look very good for the future, a good spine to work from

Guys like Howieson will hopefully develop well and make this generation special

 Tonight for Wood ??

Manager Nigel Pearson will hope to have striker Chris Wood available for City’s opening game of 2013 against out-of-sorts Huddersfield.
Wood is due to complete a move from West Bromwich Albion once the January transfer window is open and could make his debut at King Power Stadium should his registration be ratified by the Football League and the FA.

6 - 1 final score. What a great start for Wood   -  2 goals and an assist !!

Leicester manager Nigel Pearson said: "The players have shown a lot of character. Chris Wood played a very positive part in what a was a very good team performance. His attributes fit the bill for a what we are looking for.

"He is a team player and works very hard and shows a lot of football intelligence as well. It is pleasing that that he has got off to such a good start but it is about the group.

"All our forwards have a lot of flair and potential and we now have a lot of options moving forward.

"It was a thoroughly professional performance today."

(From Foxes website...)

Chris Wood hopes he can continue his goal-scoring form and fire City towards the Premier League, after a sensational Foxes debut on New Year’s Day.

City goal: Well, that was straightforward! Paul Konchesky plays a long diagonal ball up to the edge of the Burton box, which Chris Wood pulls down well between two defenders before just getting to the bouncing ball first to stab it past Dean Lyness.

Opened the scoring in the 3rd minute, in their FA Cup tie with Burton Albion.

Keeps this form up will be in the running for Top scorer in the Championship.  He has to be NZs top striker now with Rojas and Brockie putting pressure on Smeltzy for the No2 spot.

I was a Milwall fan, now I'm a Leicester fan. Leicesters Twitter account isn't as annoying thus far.
