Fair point about the step up and managers looking to bring in proven quality.

However, I can't recall too many Championship players banging them in as regularly as he is and as young as he is over the last few years. The only one that comes to mind was Earnshaw, who is a completely different typ of player and  was also a few years older when given a chance.

Truth is we'll never know until he finally gets a decent crack at it.

Quick question... are Championship strikers generally seen as better players than those in the Scottish Premier League (Celtic and Rangers really) because players making that move have been hit and miss also.
