maybe so, you had the winstone reid scenario though didnt you? i havent even looked at the championship, who might be in line for promotion and might fancy a wood type player?

I think there are differences between Wood and Reid. Reid had to start out in the Premier League straight from Denmark. Wood was actually in the Championship and despite scoring a few goals fell out of favour. I think West Ham actually had faith in Reid but it doesn't seem like Leicester does.

He may well get stuck in the situation where he plays for a promotion-winning side, gets to the Premiership where he sits on the bench for a while, and ends up heading back to the Championship to do it all over again.
Though I guess there are worse things that could happen to you as a professional footballer.
If Wood wants my advice then he should get out of England. Get off that treadmill. Find a club somewhere else in Europe which will always be in the top division. England seems too volatile.
Think about this though: ££££
I'm sure he's making a killing right now, the only places in Europe that would match that would be Germany, Spain, France and Italy and TBH I'm not sure that his style would suite most of those leagues.
Eredivisie wages in the Netherlands are very high (Netherlands economy has highest average wages in the world along with Germany):
Minimum pay for a non-EU player is about $US 600,000 per season.
