How could anyone not want the best for Chris Wood, seems to have come across as being a nice bloke to me, good team man, and a sister's wedding aside, has always made himself available for the AWs. He would have some impressive air miles .

I'm sure we would all love to see him in the EPL as a regular starting striker. However playing for a lower table EPL side as he would undoubtedly be, he would get less chances per game than playing for Leeds at Elland Road against a managerless Nott Forest side, ie he'd have to be more clinical.

If the height of Wood's career is being a top scorer in The Championship that is still an excellent career.

Last weekend watched Swansea pinch a 3-2 win at Anfield. The Swans had the big Spanish striker Lorente (age 31) up front and he scored 2 goals, a goal mouth scramble and a great header from a counter attack. They were pretty much the only clear cut chances he got all game. Watching that game, I did think this is level that big Chris would need to be playing at to be an EPL regular. Hopefully he can. He's still only 25, so plenty of time.
