Will be playing EPL next season though so meh
He has already played 10 or so games in the EPL, although the clubs were not that good. If he does move up it will massive for him as the standard between the Championship and EPL is huge. Not sure he has it in him, but hope so.
I dunno if the gap between the top of the Championship and the bottom of the Premier League is that great, looking at some of the teams who've been promoted, and their strikers, in recent years. Leicester are an obvious example, Vardy came up with them and look at how he's done. But even accepting that as an outlier, there's also Watford who are now comfortably mid-table with Deeney as their striker and captain, who came up with them. Bournemouth are similar with Callum Wilson getting promoted with them - he might not play every game but has 20 starts this season. If those players can make the transition I don't see why Wood can't. The main thing is really just getting an extended run to settle in, which he never got in his previous PL stints.
