Nah VAR or any sports video review system, causes everything to be slowed down (ie not in real time) - so that even incredibly minor touches/bumps can seem illegal.
Unless the officials have a real strong 'feel for the game', then dumb decisions can be made. That's whats happened here.
I'm not saying this was an occasion, but the ability to chalk goals off like that really is a powerful thing.
How is that different to before when a referee could do what they like or claim they haven't seen something? Now it is different with replays everywhere you can't feign ignorance.
Deliberation time and that that's your only responsibility, and a much vaster array of angles and views. But I guess the public gets the same to judge them.
