only watched highlights but, Great finishing by Wood. Both the goal and the disallowed goal.
Hes looking fit and sharp for AW match coming up.

Interesting where they put the VAR lines on his offside goal. Looking at the defender I'd say the initial line they put down which Wood was in front of, was perhaps 2 or 3 inches short of where the defender's shoulder was (not counting the foot mind you which is obstructed)
And for Wood's line (thin yellow line below) they've put it on the tip of his knee when it looks like clearly his upper body and head is closer to goal.
In this case it makes no difference to me, narrowly offside - but it makes you question their margins of error when they can't even decide what part of the body is closer to goal from certain angles - let alone if a part of the body is obstructed by a defender as the right boot is in the first pic.
Isn't it the blue line that lines up with the forward most body part for each player? The knee for the defender and Wood's head, the yellow line takes into account the angle of the camera/pitch to compare the relative positions. The issue for me in this is still the margin of error though, given that if the defender was standing in a natural position with no player ahead of him, his foot would be in a position to put Wood onside. On-field decision should have been used.
Damn shame too as it was a freaking sumptuous goal.
