Sounds like as long as one of the 3 keepers head of him is injured, he won't go out on loan. Their gaffer wanting always 3 keepers in the wider senior squad on match days.

And then if no 3 Slicker goes out on loan, then Gray stays at Ipwsich all season long. As long as he's playing regularly midweek for the U21s and training daily with the senior EPL team, that seems a good development outcome.

And yeah what a season to be in and around the senior team, with them in the Premier League, travelling to all those iconic big team grounds. Living the dream. High chance it will be a one & done season for the Tractor Boys, so Gray may well prefer to stay with their U21s than go out on loan somewhere. Only an injury away from sitting on the pine in an EPL game!
