isnt the whole pay out from the club dependent on how long he was at the club for.

Chris Wood must have contributed to some clubs surely wanders and onehunga sports???

if memory serves me right Wanderers were the only club that got paid and not OS + Cambridge, could be completely wrong though

In all this, remember Joe is going to a small European league. $ will not be big.

As a first step though, playing regularly, in a professional league, where English is not the first language, with a chance of Europa qualification, and presumably the ok to play in the Olympics, is a very very good thing. The levels of discomfort will be exactly the challenge this kid needs and will rise to, I’m sure.

He'll have a few challenges in Stavanger, but the language barrier won't be a major one.

If most of his team mates don't write the English better than Royz for example I'll be shocked.

And yes hopefully he has negotiated a release for the Olympics. August 2020 in Tokyo, will be a bit close to the latter/pointer stages of the Norway football season.

that post is gold
