Really I can’t see what he brings to the All Whites and I think he is well below championship standard.
He has an engine and gets around. Also seems a nice guy to have in the team and probably has some leadership skills.

Honestly couldn’t see him making either of NZ A league starting teams.

Been saying this for the last couple of international windows. He peaked two seasons ago for the AW's and since then has done very little in a white shirt.
I disagree. He'd dominate in the A-League. He's very consistent and reliable.
Against top international opposition our Midfield often gets over-run and I feel that makes him look bad - a scape goat.
I think against top teams we need to run with Rufer, Stamenić and Bell. Otherwise we just won't see enough of the ball.
You're right, he'd probably do ok in the aleague, but that's a totally different level to internationals. Bell weakens our midfield significantly. If we are gonna run the
4-5-1 system regularly then Stamenic and Rufer are your deeper mids with Garbett, Singh and Just as the attacking mids. Plenty of other options as replacements before I'd even consider Bell anywhere in that 5; Rogerson, McCowatt, Rojas, Barbarousos,
