They’ve said they have no interest in setting up an academy, but I could definitely see Declan having a hand in their player development programme.

Would be a move back to what he does best and an opportunity to stick it to the Nix, Declan’s favourite thing about football

Problem is he can be such an outspoken, difficult character, that there is always a risk he could fuck things up with an important player development, as much as make it successful.

But agree that's his forte working with young talented players. Maybe age & peaceful Sweden has mellowed him. Hay knows him well.
