Can't see Clegg getting much game time for a while in the NWSL. In a physical league where an 18 year old is a rarity, it will take her a while to get up to condition for the demands of NWSL soccer. But I'm sure it will be a great environment to be part of and to grow in.
Quite a few fringe NWSL players (particularly goalkeepers) that don't get many playing minutes end up on loan spells to ALW clubs. That might be a serious option for Milly next ALW season. So hope the Nix are keeping the communication channels open with her.

Louisville would be the worst possible overseas club for a young Football Ferns player from that point of view.
Erceg was on TV One 6pm news a month ago having a good old moan about how terrible women's football is in NZ and how irredeemably terrible the Football Ferns are.
To me that kind of extreme negativity and continuing to run down the team and the players from outside mostly just has a detrimental effect on the women's game and the public's perception and interest.
Saw a pre WWC US football show last year, that had Erceg on. She named Erin Nayler as one of the Ferns to watch!! The others she named were all age 30+ that she played with. Surprised she didn't name Rosie White.
I think that says enough, that she is out of touch with the current environment, and the pretty good, if yes not perfect support they now get from NZF. So yeah hopefully you are right and Clegg doesn't get her ear chewed off, with negative shark from 5-10 years ago.
Still I wonder if Erceg could see herself as a marquee/first captain for the Auckland ALW team when it launches in season 2025/26. She may not be NWSL standard in 18 months, and Foley's ALW team may pay more than most in the ALW.
