I personally would have preferred for him to stay in Italy, selfishly speaking. But the Serie A in many regards is where dreams go to die. Too results focused, too tactical, too defensively minded - especially for the teams that he was being linked with.
The Championship is a great league, he puts himself in a great shop window and has the opportunity to be part of history, if they can get promoted straight away once again.
I personally don't think it will happen this time, but from what I've seen of Wrexham, he'll be well looked after and be a part of a well resourced team. It would be a sweet move
