NPL Victoria kicked off over the weekend and there was no shortage of Kiwi's in amongst it all.

All the goals here ⬇️

Former NZ U17 rep Emlyn Wellsmore played a full 90 for his new club Oakleigh Cannons as they got off to a solid start to their campaign with a 3-1 win at home over a Green Gully side featuring Taylor Schrijvers who was also making his club debut.

Five time All White, and various age grade rep Luke Adams got off to a winning start for his new club Dandenong Thunder. Played the full 90 as they came away with a 1-0 victory against Heidelberg United on the road.

Andrew Withers (GK) formerly of Eastern Suburbs and part of their premiership winning side of 18/19 (Remember that lot?! McCowatt, Just, De Jong, Kalua, Payne, Pijnaker 🤯) Well his Port Melbourne side got off to a steady start with a 2-2 draw at home to Avondale. This despite playing about an hour with 10 men. Fellow Kiwi Daniel Edwards (formerly of Eastern Suburbs and Hamilton Wanderers) was credited with the assist for Port Melbourne's first goal from a well worked corner move.

To round out the weekend, Former Nix lad, and big unit George Ott would be happy with his turnout for St Albans Saints as he scored his first goal for his new club against last seasons employers Melbourne Knights. Unfortunately they couldn't hold on for the three points as the Knights grabbed a late equaliser, and it finished 1-1.
