Couldn't think of a better place to put it, and didn't want to create another thread for it as things stand, so I'll just share here.

It's been an ongoing thing that I frequently go back and forth between when I get the time. But I have been doing a bit of digging around in Australia trying to uncover players who could be 'eligible' to play for New Zealand (I say 'eligible' because it means just that - Someone may be eligible, but they haven't or may never declare themselves as available, or switch their allegiances if they were born outside of New Zealand). There is after all a pretty good chance that with over 500,000+ Kiwis residing in Australia, that there is at least some of those whose who play football at a decent level as well as having links back to the old country.

Anyway, after all this it seems Brisbane Roar goalkeeper Macklin Freke is indeed eligible for New Zealand via his Kiwi father (who works for the FFA lol). It's probably not the area of greatest concern in the scheme of things regarding the NT set up, but thought it was a worthwhile find.

Will leave it up to others to decide if he gets his own thread or not. Either that, or we need to have an 'eligible but undeclared' thread. Again, will leave that to others to decide.
