Unpopular opinion: it would be better for him not to go to Red Star.
I think any northern European league would offer a better challenge for him. Yes they are a good team and have a great history but Serbia? I'd rather he stayed in Denmark or moved to say Belgium, the Netherlands etc. Of course if nothing better comes up


I agree. Red Star were once a big club in Europe. But not any longer. The Serbian league is a bit obscure from a Kiwi viewing context, and would he settle there. Still a bit of culture shock from Western Europe. Yes his dad is Serbian, but can he speak the language well himself.

Hopefully they think through his next move carefully. Sounds like he'll still have another 6 mths at FCK, but he might be down the peaking order there now unfortunately.
