if he stayed put he'd be playing Champions League next season like he did this season, wouldn't he? I'd much rather he went to Coventry rather than somewhere to be loaned out. Feels like it is quite rare that a player signed to be immediately loaned ever makes it to the first team of that club.

Not a huge fan of the Olympiacos loan and it does sound a bit strange but if he cracked the Forest team that would be amazing.

You sure? Olympiacos is a step up from Red Star, and just won a European trophy. He'll be playing Europa League next season, if this goes through. Great move.

Serbia UEFA coefficient has dropped (mainly becaused Red Star) have been performing poorly in the UCL, so Serbia have lost their automatic UCL spot.
Red Star will have to try their luck through the UCL qualifiers.

If the Forest rumour is true, I wouldn't be surprised if Chris Wood has had some involvement. He's seen Stamenic plenty of times now up close in AWs camps/games. Wood's been in the EPL now, for it must be 6-7 seasons. He's knows the level well. If he's told Nuno, Marko has the ability to play in the EPL, then I'd fancy at some point Stamenic will get a chance. He may initially be loaned to Olympiacos, but as the season goes on Forest may have to sell further players including midfielders.

As with Paulsen if an EPL club comes with an offer you take it, back yourself to get a chance, and if not well the Greek Super League is still a good level. Then down the track if getting a look in at Forest seems unlikely, if not peeved Coventry some other Championship clubs will scout him.
