No, while I watched a few matches while he was on the books I never got to see him play for Kawasaki. While playing for his current team however I have seen him playing them.

It wasn’t intentional, but I guess it’s a bit of a Kiwi thing. I started supporting United when Liverpool was smashing everything and they were 4th or 5th on the table and then the 90s happened. Wasn’t supporting an underdog after that! But yeh, Bellmare are serious underperformers. Worse than the Nix.
Of course those days I had Shoot annuals and things Dad got me, the weekly highlights on TV One and when it went to Sky I didn’t watch it at all initially, just followed in the paper! I couldn’t deal with the petulance of Ronaldo/Rooney after that WC.
Have you been to a match day at home for Niigata? Coochie posted a clip of them getting interviewed by obasans for a magazine type show which was hilarious, but it looked like the stadium was in a park with a river. Looked really nice. Traveling on hold a bit at the moment, though I got to see onsen monkeys my first year here.

Actually I remember early on, on the forum there was a fan called Keiko who posted here and called Fitzgerald ‘her lion’. Maybe even before he went to Kawasaki.
