St Pats win 4-0. Mata an unused sub
No N Garbett for Dundalk

St Pats have a bit of a stacked forward line by LOI standards, hopefully Mata can get some mins soon

Has the pre assist as St Pats get a late 90th min winner for 1-0.

Go straight to 3 mins in the highlights, and 3 times over the next 1 min of highlights he holds up the ball well, as St Pats use some route one stuff to chase a winner.

Remains the most Wood like for like option Baze has. Yes LOI not a great level.

Might still be down to him or Piper if Bazeley wants a strong 9?

Likely won’t be back in time for this window though?

3 or 4 really nice touches there that won’t hurt his case at the least.

Or my favourite outsider Dyer.

Problem for Piper is he's still very much learning the art of playing as a striker, with back to goal etc. This weekend he'll likely return to the pine as Eze starts.

Mata and Dyer have been doing it for years, if at moderate levels. Plus they have some international experience, esp Mata who has played under Baze in this WC cycle.

AWs don't play for over 3 weeks, and still 2 weeks before the squad is picked. Time for Max to stake a case.

Mata don't score many but his hold up play is 2nd only to Wood. You can see it in those brief highlights above. Max's problem is that St Pats have a bit of a stacked forward line by LOI standards.

Elbouzedi and Keena have played plenty of L1/L2 in the UK. Elbouzedi a few seasons in the Swedish Allsvenskan. Ryan Edmondson also L1/L2 experience plus an ALM winner with the Mariners. Romal Palmer (though maybe more a midfielder/winger) was with Barnsley in The Championship.

But sounds like Mata impressed off the bench this morning for St Pats who sit 2nd on the early season table.

Mata the late hero with the winner in a 3-2 win.

Off the pine at 74 mins (St Pats up 2-1) for ex CCM Mariner Ryan Edmondson, who earlier scored a double for St Pats.

Mata gets a first start, and plays the 90 but St Pats lose 2-0.
They stay first on GD.

No Garbett for Dundalk.

Mata off the pine at 69 mins (0-1) in a 0-1 loss.
Consecutive defeats for St Pats who drop to 2nd.

Coochie, thanks as always for your awesome updates.

Out of curiosity what medium do you use to keep on track on each player? (i.e: which website/app is your go to. Do you follow the kiwi players through the app etc?)

FYI - Downloaded an app called Fotmob last week.

Quite good and allows you to follow teams/players.
