Initially, but it's possible he may have hit a career ceiling. Means he can go to the MLS, which could have been tricky if he'd stayed with NZ maybe (can you be a dual citizen?). With the example of Singh and Thomas (and Marco), if you're good enough you definitely can get the chance from NZ.
