Why would MV want to trial a failed youth player who was not good enough to be signed as an apprentice or reserve during his time in the UK that would also take a visa spot (unless he has Aussie parentage)

I hope he does well, and it appears he's going ok, but if he doesn't get a contract by the u20 world cup expects in the SS comp

Gee I guess I hope for more from him. It is every young players duty to get overseas to a professional environment quoted by Winston Reid. I feel sad about that but have come to realise he is probably right.

Glad to see you hope him well. He looks better than average as a striker so I hope for better than average for him.

I picked MV because of their history of doing well with attacking nz players and they play a great style of attacking football. As you say - either he needs to be better than the locals - or have some Aussie connection.

Be nice if nz players could get an exemption from the foreign player rule - just as the phoenix players have.

Oh yeah - the visa thing too. Some good players don't make in the UK because of visa issues no UK passport. And a trial costs clubs little. They of course don't have to offer him anything afterwards if they think he's pies.
