Myer Bevan and Moses Dyer might be outside chances for the auckland club. Both have been successful at the CPL level.
Bevan always looked like a smart player - maybe a little slow, which I think has held him back as he is not the strongest, or most technical player either. Good at most things, just not quite good enough if that makes sense?

Any Kiwi strikers, attackers coming to Auckland FC are likely to be sitting behind strong top drawer visa players. If they are on reasonable coin in the CPL or USL they may just want to stay there.
Though if they are to give themselves any remote chance of the AWs & the 2026 WC, they yes will need to leave where they currently are. Got to be part of Tommy Smith's thinking, coming to the ALM.
Someone mentioned a year or so ago, how would Bevan have gone if say like Ben Waine he had gone through the Nix Academy system pathway. In many ways they have similar skills sets, but Bevan's sort of done it on his own through Nike Academy, Sweden, USA, South Africa & Canada - different coaching setups, maybe some poor coaches, not a lot of continuity etc etc. We are the decisions we make.
