I hate it when people cite personal reasons.

I wonder if he has a deal, or thinks he can win one by linking back up with Auckland.

But it could be genuine as well, like the death of a close family member. Alex Greive sadly lost his dad at a too young age, about a year ago, so left St Mirren mid season for a time.

But if Bevan is in talks with Auckland, they are obviously private discussions for now, so yeah out of respect to the 2 clubs, you could go with the 'personal reasons' slant. 

His second kid was born not too long before those two CONCACAF games back in Canada and America. And as far as I can tell his partner hasn't travelled to Canada and looks firmly set up back here in NZ. I'd say that will be a part of the reason.

Cavalry won't be willing either to let their gun striker go for free, so (purely speculation here too) if he does get a release, you can bet some money is going to be changing hands.
