San Diego (3rd in the USL West) do a long haul US coast to coast trip, to play to New York RB II (14th & last in the East).
Same as last SD game, Adams starting & Boxall jnr on the bench. Hopefully none of the AWs 5 CBs get injured. Long long trip for Nikko Boxall, San Diego to Qatar. I guess 4 should be enough if one went down, plus also have Payne as cover.

Is a bit surprising Adams has never been mentioned for being around the national team fold, given he seems to be ahead of in/out AW Nikko Boxall in the pecking order at San Diego, with also having age on his side too. I suppose if he really was desperate he could always move to a Nordic second tier to get a better chance in the national team.
Well it's up to him really to move elsewhere, if he thinks that will see him more on the AWs radar. It's pretty clear Hay doesn't rate the USL that much, and it's likely warranted.
But guys like Adams, Collier, Wynne, Musa once they get that Green card don't seem to want to leave the States. Maybe they get US partners, start to see career opportunities there post football etc, and decide they are just happy where they are.
Though post Qatar (whether AWs get there or not), all 3 of Reid, Smith and Boxall (33, 32 & 33) could retire from international football. If so likes of Adams will definitely rise up the Piney's top 50 ranking list.
