Don't know if a 40 hour round trip for the sake of 90 minutes football is doing eitherhim or Spurs much of a favour. It's not great timing though, this Capello business. If Nelsen has hopes of pressing on into next season for Spursthe departure of Redkappcould definitely stuff those plans up.
The way I see it is that it's a six-month roll of the dice with not a huge amount to lose.
If he can push on into next season then that's fantastic, but if the above scenario happens (which it may well do) and he doesn't get re-signed , then what has he lost? If the rumors are true and he was thinking about semi-retirement as a player-coach, then I bet the four months he spent on the bench at Tottenham might be a little disappointing but not a huge regret.
