PEC Zwolle-luminary Ryan Thomas intends to finish this season in Zwolle: “a comfortable feeling is worth more than €10mio”. Chances are not slim Ryan Thomas will stay at PEC Zwolle until the summer, his daughter acting as a decisive factor.
Ryan Thomas about his daughter Lily-Mae: “My life has considerably changed. With everything I do, she’s become number one and my top priority. She’s leading in my ambition to complete the 2017/2018 season in Zwolle. I cannot see being seduced by another club at this stage. I’m pretty confident I’ll still be at PEC Zwolle come February".
Ryan Thomas realises he has outgrown PEC Zwolle’s level. “I am safe here but I should get out of my comfort zone. It’s time for a bigger club at a bigger stage. Actually, what I would really want is to be challenged again at pain level”.
He’s hoping to join an appealing competition but clearly he is not (yet) ready for the Premier League. He’d be blown away.
Ryan Thomas will not be lured by a pot of gold to a less appealing competition. “A club can offer me € 10mio per year, but a comfortable feeling means much more to me. At the moment I am indifferent to money. I’m only 23 years old and have enough years ahead of me to earn a good living. What counts now is the right choice in terms of 'competitive'“
