It is rare for us to be saying that about a Kiwi but yes, Italy or Spain would by far be best suited to Thomas over the Bundesliga or Prem. Would love to see him at Valencia or Sevilla in the next few seasons, or maybe Lazio. As for now I think Atalanta or Sampdoria would be a good fit. Think he could definitely start for Sampdoria and Atalanta already, they both have weaker midfields than the other teams

If you want him to play for a team of duds, maybe! I'm not sure he'd shine in Italy to be honest, as much as I'd like to see him play there. I think Spain or France would work better for him personally.

What are you talking about, Lazio are are a decent squad

Not as much of an Italian football expert as NZPower but here’s my take: they have a few very good players, like Felipe Anderson, Luis Alberto, Ciro Immobile and especially Milinković-Savić who is genuinely world class (and also happens to play Ryan Thomas’ position). However a lot of their squad simply is not up to Serie A standards, leaving a lot of holes. A lot of their squad are also duds like he said - older players whose careers never amounted to much. Also, take another look at his profile picture ;)

Also pretty poor depth right now
