Well then simple: he never should have committed to international football in the first place. Why commit if he's just going to let us down? He's barely a New Zealander anyway tbh.

Wow. Simplistic Explanations 101. Wonder if people would be saying the same thing if Ryan Nelsen had decided to stay away from the AWs post-2003 Confeds Cup/2004 ONC?

Maybe this is just the natural conclusion to a series of unfortunate events from both sides?
