When will he step it up playing for the AWs? To me he never really looks like a top premier leaguer when playing for us.
Maybe others around him bring him down but playing consistently at this level I think he should be a stand out but rarely is.
I agree. Has never looked anywhere near as good or influential as Nelsen did for the All Whites. Half of the time it looks like he doesn't want to be playing for NZ and it looks like he thinks that he's so much better than everyone else in the team.
Is there any evidence that this is how he feels? Maybe he's just not impressed with the current set up with the AW's, it's hardly a team brimming with confidence. He could have played for Denmark after all rather than NZ and would have made their squad at the very least.
Nelsen was a lot older and maturer than Reid and probably found it easier to take charge. I mean if everything is to believed Nelsen was in charge of the AW's during the last world cup anyhow..
As I've not watched enough prem football to answer if he is good enough for the top 4-5 clubs. What do people think?
