Reid was suspended for the league match against United on 27 November when they drew 1–1. Three days later he returned to play against United again, this time in the EFL Cup, only to lose 4–1. On 3 December they lost 1–5 at home to Arsenal. He was yellow carded in the 65th minute.
On Sunday, 11 December (Mon 5:30 am NZ) West Ham will play away to Liverpool. Tough match. West Ham are struggling, currently sitting in 17th place with 12 points. Only Sunderland (11 pts), Hull (11 pts) and Swansea (9 pts) sit below them. After the match against Liverpool they will play Burnley and Hull at home in the span of a week. A good chance to pick up points and get back on track.
In the FA Cup West Ham have been drawn at home against Manchester City, to be played between 6–9 January.
