So he is basically playing at the same level of Central League and North Prem.
Young Kiwis in UK
Old news, but Dominic Edwards and James Davies signed for Torquay. Edwards is a very good player, was going to make the NZ U20 team, Davies isn't as good. Weird decision IMO but hopefully they go well, more Waikato lads in action.
First time i hear about them

Maybe but still youth, judge when older. Was good enough to be picked up by Wrexham who lost out to Newport in the Football League play-off. They are a better team then where some kiwis are at (India, Singapore etc). Am happy to hear about the other boys in Devon from Waikato, hope they kick on!
Michael Built is playing for Histon FC in the Conference North, and has scored a couple of goals for them this season so far.

They might feel at home. When Hawkwind's lead singer (Dave Brock?) was interviewed by the Herald prior to a gig at Auckland's Powerstation 2 years ago he was (of course) asked for his opinion of the City of Sails. "Like Torquay on acid."
PS They were good. But VERY loud!
Any détails about james davies? Just found basic info about dominic edwards...

Anyone know anything about this kid, supposedly about to join Chris Wood at Leicester?
This on the website of a former Wales, Leeds and Swansea keeper who does scouting for UK clubs (he also scouted Judd Baker from NZ u-17's for Swansea):

Daniel Bowkett (17 year old) from Wellington New Zealand has been invited to Leicester City FC in November.
I think was in the nz secondary schools team that toured GB and Ireland, so might have got spotted then. He is pretty well known in wellington circles.
Dan Bowkett is playing for the Wanderers in the ASB.
Maybe heading over after christmas??

The acid's on Torquay and their players - rock bottom of the Football League.

I went to the Plymouth Torquay game the other day, Torquay played well enough to denigh my team 3 points. League 2 this season is pretty level across the board.

Otago teen Rahan Ali (16) has recently returned from a year playing youth football at Inverness Caledonian Thistle and is now in Otago's national youth league side. His parents immigrated here from Scotland 17 years ago:

Daniel Bowkett (17 year old) from Wellington New Zealand has been invited to Leicester City FC in November.
It has already been a big year for Bowkett, who was named the MVP of the national secondary schools side and did enough on the northern hemisphere tour to earn a trial with Reading.
He spent 10 days with Reading and though it did not lead to any offers, he was thrilled by the opportunity. "It was an unbelievable experience and I really enjoyed it. I thought I played well too, which meant a lot to me."
In the longer term, Bowkett is aiming to make the New Zealand team that will contest the under-20 World Cup on home turf in 2015.
Just come across a young kiwi paying in Wales that I think has slipped under the radar. He was at Wrexham but now at Cefn Druids:
Andy Pasco. DoB: 23/01/1985. Forward.
New Zealand-born forward who is comfortable on the flanks or up front. Third summer 2013 signing from Wrexham. Can create and score goals.
info here: Cefn Druids AFC
I'm sure that DoB is wrong, I think its meant to be 1995 although I could be wrong.
Yes you're right. He's 18. See here: http://www.cefndruidsafc.co.uk/2013/07/pasco-joins-as-pritch-opts-to-stay/
Cefn Druids play in the Cymru Alliance, which is the second tier of Welsh football so not surprising no one has heard of him! Although Cefn are winning the league so promotion to the Premier League is a real posibility.

Monty Patterson - a big couple of weeks for him - named in the NZ u-20 squad for friendlies vs. Fiji and Papua New Guinea over the next week and handed a two year scholarship at Ipswich Town Academy:
http://www.itfc.co.uk/news/article/new-scholars-join-academy-1510779.aspx
Monty's been over there since January but not officially an Academy member till now - don't think he's played any games for them this season?
"Ten scholars in all will join Town’s Academy next season and they were at the training ground today to meet Blues’ boss Mick McCarthy and Academy manager Bryan Klug.
The boys and their parents were shown around the facilities before signing their scholarship forms that will see them spend two years at least at the Club.
.....plus Monty Patterson, who hails from New Zealand."

Surprised this hasnt been picked up, found it after Hudson mentioned it in his interview
From the East Coast Bays website:
I would have liked him involved with the Nix, he looked rather promising for the AWs imo

NZ U-17 Keeper Michael Woud signed for Sunderland Academy in July, on a 4 year deal.

potential for wood leading the line, and Woud keeping the net.. I guess you could call the team a bunch of sticks
If Woud stops someone scoring does that mean they were cock-blocked?
I'm worried we might have too much wood and it may give us a payne in the middle that will stop us from getting the wynn.
I've written a small blog about it, feel free to reid it.

Luke Rowe's Bedworth Utd are into the 2nd Qualifying Round of the FA Cup with a 2-0 win (AET) over Holwell Sports. Rowe played the full 120 and is a regular starter.
I'm not sure why he's playing at such a low level - he seems to have more talent than that but maybe he's no longer focusing on football as he's got a young family.
Hows Dylan Burns going?
Hows Dylan Burns going?
"Despite spending much of last season productively as a midfielder, the Kiwi has begun the 2015-16 campaign effectively as a defender.
New Zealand-born Burns has proved flexibly useful in previous months with his ability to play across the midfield but adding another string to his bow could be a masterstroke for Jamie Fullarton and his side.
The Reds snapped him up from the Nike Academy shortly after he arrived in the country and he will be aiming to join the short list of New Zealanders represented in senior European football in the coming years."
He played a handful of games in preseason but hasn't seemed to feature at all during this season for U-21s.
Lewis Tiller apparently been selected to play with West Ham U18s.
