The marketing of the A-League via primary school IMO is very clever as they move into high school and then to the world in general... also giving teachers structures and systems to work with as the KPI states will increase playing numbers...


Adding to the primary school push the private school system in Australia especially in Sydney and Brisbane forever has been a rugby [almost only] area is coming under huge pressure from Football and in many ways if off the work of the Mariners, SFC, Roar and recently WSW these articles are worth a read... the trends if they continue will see Football as the major sport played in the private schools within 5 to 10 years and in some of the schools Football has already replaced rugby as the major code.
