Have been having the odd glance at NZHerald, Stuff and NZTV-One ..

From [and by no means an in depth] look the Asian Cup is struggling for traction in the media in NZ... gotta say even over hear in the lead up to it and before we started winning it was poor, most reporting over here seems to be about the Socceroos not the AC itself nor the other Asian teams...

Am I wrong or is there simply to much other sport going on and the AC is struggling for media space...

to be fair what interest is there in NZ for North Korea v Uzbekistan?

Can see your point and given NZ is not in it adds to the complexity...

Having said that and remember Australian Coverage of the AC has been poor .... what does that say about us [Australian and NZ] when the biggest sporting and cultural event in Asia is not ignored but given scant coverage ... As I said Australia's position is degrees worst as we have the ACL on our home soil and are playing in it...

The last couple of days we have had pages on the Socceroo's but little on other teams and the AC itself ... other than, who the  past winners are, and to date some very decent crowds for some matches ... yet not much reporting ... I hope it gets better ...

Anyway was just wondering if it had any traction in NZ...
