It is not our last home game. There is the game on Wednesday night, which a deal runs for this game. Also there is Victory at home on Easter Sunday.

People who don't have a vested interest in the Nix are far more likely to read that Capital Day page than the sport section, and they now think that tomorrows game is the last for the season. I can see this cock-up affecting the casual pundit turnout at the games.

Agree. But that isn't going to change because it's not in the budget.

As for the Veitch thing, by the time that was going on the Twitterverse had already confirmed it as a foreign player from next season and in fact had confirmed it was Hernandez.  A researcher (which I assume they employ on news stories) could have found that in under 5 minutes if they could be arsed. If it had been an Auckland Rugby story they would have been all over it.

Meanwhile the Stuff researcher threw out the Newtown link, laughable when it was an article a fortnight ago, embarassing this morning.

News - have the Phoenix come out in the media and said the Newtown thing is rubbish? I'm genuinely interested. If they have, I haven't seen/heard it.

Yes David Dome did an interview with Tony Veitch right before Eden Park game saying it was incorrect they more want to improve the facilities.

Not sure this headline  is accurate. Perhaps "Coaching appointment imminent" would be better.

But that means being positive about the Nix, they can't do that.

Yawn.  "Oh, the Dom Post is so mean to us, life is so unfair".
I am pretty sure that if Dome had taken a call and explained what was happening then they would have written that.  As it stands, the club said at the start of last week that they would make an announcement this week, and the week has past and nothing has happened.  It is not unfair to point that out.

Saying the process is dragging on implies it's taking too long.  I wonder what is the appropriate length an appointmwnt should take.

Another article in the Dom Post today, another comment like "we tried to contact David Dome, but he would not accept our calls".  God we look pathetic.

That really is a prick of a line for a Newspaper to use. There may have been 1001 reasons why he was not able to accept calls. There are times when I don't get to clear messages  for a couple of days.

bollocks.

This kind of comment is in a number of articles as it is obvious the club are refusing to deal with them because the mean men there said some nasty things.

Also, if you are chief executive of a football club you know you are in a position where you have to deal with the press amongst others.  You cannot take a couple of days to clear your messages.

I have no idea on what Dome's diary is like but if you genuinely believe that this is a case of him not having time to take any calls or get any messages from the Dom Post then you should be very worried about how our club is being run.

Yeah, but you're also assuming that Sam Worthington's really on to it and wasn't just watching One Direction on Youtube all afternoon and then at the last minute is like "oh shit, I meant to ring David Dome" and so he does but 5 minutes later he writes it up as "Dome never returned my calls".

Truthfully, there seems to be fault on both sides here and yes, they all need to sort their shit out.

As mentioned earlier, this kind of comment has been in a number of articles in the Dom Post recently, suggesting that it is the club being petty and childish.
