And at the start when the agent gets assassinated. He has a contact lense that shows him who people are,yet when it sees the assassin IT TEXTS HIM.

Yeah...I sat through the whole movie picking holes in it. I don't normally do that but geez...

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is superb. Rooney Mara strangely attractive throughout.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was pretty good, had a very good storyline, though some scenes were a bit uncomfortable.

Saw it last night at the outdoor cinema on Sydney Harbour with a Russian friend that had read the book, she convinced me to get off the couch & see it.
Opera House made a nice backdrop

Good yarn, really enjoyed.

Nice to see Berkhoff on the screen again too.

Saw "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" last week on TV4. This week I see they are repeating it again but calling it "Snatch".

I watched Jack and Jill the other night.  Predicatably terrible but I have to give kudos for Adam Sandler's opinion of himself - in his last film he starts off with a stunner, and ends up with Jennifer Anniston, and in this one he is married to Katie Holmes.  Talk about punching above your weight.

Also watched the Muppets last night.  I laughed and cried which is all I want from a movie.  Big thumbs up from me.

Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy - Oldman great channelling Alec Guinness, nicely shot, good film but not quite the total w*nkfest the press made out it was.

I thought Tinker Tailor was brilliant, however it really puzzles me how it took a Swedish production crew to really capture British nature of the book.

Yeah no argument with that, the feel and the way it was shot was brilliant.

Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory is on Soho tonight at 8:30 for those of us lucky enough to have it. Well worth missing the first half of Jets v Adelaide for.

The final doco in the Paradise Lost series about the West Memphis 3.

Seen Crazy, Stupid Love on DVD the other night. If you're going to watch a film with the mrs then this is pretty good. Steve Carrell is a good laugh. But be warned it has Ryan Gosling in it.

I like baseball but really liked the film and didn't think a lack of knowledge of the sport would hinder enjoyment for anyone.  The wife, on the other hand, loves Brad Pitt (she watches his film either sitting on the arm of the couch, or on a washing machine on a spin cycle) and she gave up on this one half way through (although it might have just been the chaffing)

I am watching "The Treasure Hunter" on CTV 9 (Freeview).  It is rather meh, but it does star the drop dead gorgeous Lin Chi-ling (Lin Zhiling).

CTV 9 will have "Ip Man" on at a later date - that should be well worth watching.

Watching the 2011 remake of A Chinese Ghost Story now. It's OK, but the 1987 Tsui Hark version is still the best one.

Not that it needs recommending, I'm sure many will see it.

Joss Wheddon (Buffy, Firefly fame) does a damn good job, entertaining film, action and comedy is what it promised and it delivered.

Film was on CCTV 9 (Freeview 29) on Sat and Sun nights.  I only watched about 2-3 minutes each night - too hard to watch for me.
