It's not so bad...

We really only need three top order batsman (ie, two openers and a four).

A fast bowler (ie: 140km consistently minimum). An opening bowler (Martin isn't going to get any better, or younger...) a bowling all rounder... oh, and more than 400 in a test innings regularly (well, once would be a change) would be great too!

And a wicketkeeper-batsman who is williing (as against capable) to bat for long periods (no, not the first ten-forty overs of an ODI...

So... we need Nathan Astle, Matthew Bell, Stephen Fleming, Shane Bond, Jacob Oram... and McCullum to pull his head out of his behind and start playing test cricket (or become a pj specialist so we can develop Hopkins or ???).
