Brilliant knock from Elliot really kept us competitive when really we were steamrolled. For a wee while when Elliot and McCallum were together there was even a glimmer of a miracle unfolding and didn't the mood of the Aussies change as they thought the same.
Still, Vettori got it wrong with the decision to bat first and seems to me this was purely on the basis of hoping the Aussie batting would remain as inept as it had been in the first two games. A gamble which did not pay off and should have backed his team to post a score and bowl second when conditions better for our attack and chasing at SCG always a tougher ask.
